Friends of Alaska CASA sets aside funds every year to help meet the needs of children in state custody. Although foster parents and OCS do their best to provide for these children, there are sometimes gaps that Friends of Alaska CASA can help fill. After 16 years as the CASA state director, Brenda Dickison moved from Alaska in 2006. To honor her, the FAC board established the Dickison Educational Travel Scholarship. The scholarship is available to Alaska public high school students in state custody. Please read the scholarship instructions for more information.
